Quote of the Show:

“Rest is a Revenue Generating Activity” – Shari Biery

    • If you are going through a lot in the world, it’s worth it to take a pause and take a deep breath. This will help you to better reframe your mindset and to really focus on the important things that need to be done.

    • As a society, we have bought into the idea that our worthiness is based on how busy we are instead of who we are and how we take care of ourselves. This creates an unhealthy culture where people will work themselves to the point of exhaustion and in turn the work they do will suffer from them.

    • How you do one thing in your life is how you do everything, and it shows up everywhere. If your life is in chaos and there is a lack of organization, then that will seep into every part of your life and affect your work.

    • Take time to focus on yourself and where your senses are at in terms of your professional and business life. If you feel run down, take the time to step away and let yourself recharge.

    • Sometimes it’s easy to get drained and worn out by certain people in your life. If you feel that there are people in your life who do this, you need to make a change and limit your interactions with those people.

    • We often hear typical tropes of “if you aren’t working all the time you are lazy” or “you can’t make money if you don’t work hard”. We take this to heart and overwork ourselves, but it’s important to not to take them so seriously.

    • Give yourself permission to ask for help and or to take some time to yourself. You don’t need to be Superman and take on every challenge yourself.
