I am fully aware that today’s topic will offend quite a few lawyers and law firm owners. Listen, I don’t like delivering this news any more than you all like hearing it. It’s just the brutal truth.

We are experiencing a crazy time in legal recruiting and legal staffing right now. It’s like there is an “awakening” with employees that has occurred since the pandemic. The quality of questions candidates are asking us is extraordinary.

If you think you’re going to have to hire at all in 2021, my recommendation is you start that process now because it’s very tight. Your failure to plan cannot become a hiring crisis. Don’t put yourself in that position.
